An alert reader brought an error in the September, 2006, edition of the Montana Tavern Times to our attention.
In the story titled "State Control of Alcohol Under Threat," we wrote that the state connoisseur's license allows consumers to directly purchase wine from out-of-state and from in-state producers, when in fact, according to Department of Revenue Liquor Division Administrator Shauna Helfert, the connoisseur's license allows consumers to directly purchase wine from out-of-state-producers, but it does not allow direct purchase from in-state wineries. We regret the error.
