GCD to test automated compliance accuracy

Pub Date: 7/1/2008
The Gambling Control Division announced June 18 it will be conducting a test of the new automated accounting and reporting system over the next two to three months.

The Division will randomly select machines being reported through the web and contact machine owners to review meter records, including tapes, service reports, and cash and mechanical meter records.

"This review will be conducted as a test of the system and to determine whether or not the length of time machines owners are required to maintain records can be reduced even further," said GCD Administrator Gene Huntington.

"It will not be considered an audit of a location or machine owner," he continued.  "No penalties will be assessed during this review for any errors committed by machine owners."
