Bardwell wins TV raffle

The Joel Kittleson family suffered a devastating house fire May 22 that prevented them from occupying the home for months.
When some members of the gaming business heard of the plight faced by Joel and his wife, Kelli, along with their children, Jacob and Cade, they resolved to put the reconstruction on the fast track and to raise some money to make a few necessary improvements as well.
Kittleson is employed by Century Gaming out of Billings.
Century donated a big-screen plasma television which was raffled in late October. Phyllis Bardwell, owner of Six Mile Tavern in Huson just west of Missoula, won the big prize.
Altogether the raffle raised $4,550 for the rebuilding effort.
Burt Johnston, along with Rich Miller and Steve Arntzen, were the main push behind the raffle.
In an earlier account in the Montana Tavern Times, Johnston said, "Sometimes bad things happen to good people, but hopefully we can all make this something positive and good for Joel and his family. When they move back into their newly restored and updated home, that will confirm they have many friends in the hospitality industry who can, as always, be counted on to help."
