Will Fleetwood release system?
Fleetwood Gaming, manufacturers of high performance gaming machines for the Montana market, has also developed a player rewards system, Fleetwood Development Manager Brian Duval told the Montana Tavern Times April 13.
It has features and technology that is more advanced than any system currently available in this jurisdiction, he said. In fact, he was evaluating the latest round of system innovations the week of April 18.
Currently the system is in operation at one Fleetwood location where it is being field tested. The company continues to discuss how to best market and implement the system, the Times was told.
Duval said he is convinced that automated systems can help provide valuable management tools, but that there will never be a replacement for tried and true one-on-one personal interaction between casino staff and customers.
Now is when best customer services practices are seen as essential to recovering the substantial losses experienced since the onset of the economic downturn and full implementation of a smoking ban Oct. 1 last year, he said.
Automation versus personal interaction is a dilemma and danger cited by both proponents and opponents of such systems, though some manufacturers state their systems have been designed specifically to increase such interaction.
At Tavern Times deadline, the company declined to declare its specific future intentions for its player rewards system.
