Pub Date: 6/1/2007
Just after the May edition of the Montana Tavern Times went to press, due to the opening of the legislative special session the Gaming Industry Association of Montana (GIA) cancelled its annual convention which had been scheduled May 14-16 at Chico Hot Springs.
The event has now been rescheduled for Tuesday-Thursday, August 28-30 at the Outlaw Inn in Kalispell.
A poker tournament will kick off on Tuesday with a golf tournament Tuesday morning and a social evening and trade show on Wednesday.
The group will conduct its annual business meeting, including an election of officers on Thursday, Aug. 30.
"Registration forms will be mailed soon, but make your plans to attend now," said GIA Executive Director Rich Miller.
"If anyone in the licensed gaming business wants to get an accurate and valuable perspective on where our industry stands today, and where it is likely headed, I would encourage them to plan to be at the Outlaw Inn in Kalispell for a day or two in late August," Miller said. "These meetings will have a real bearing on our futures."
